Los estudios de caso recopilados en esta publicación analizan los principales desafíos que enfrenta actualmente la pequeña minería en su proceso de formalización en Colombia, cubriendo diferentes regiones del país e identificando retos en común. Los mismos se desarrollaron en el marco del Proyecto Somos Tesoro que se implementa en alianza con PACT, la Fundación Mi Sangre y el Fondo para la Acción Ambiental y la Niñez, con fondos del Departamento de Trabajo de los Estados Unidos.

The presence of an armed conflict in eastern Ukraine has affected the composition and the public image of the national legislature. Three dozen of military veterans who have left hospitals and trenches just weeks before the election became members of the Ukrainian Parliament. This study takes advantage of the pertinent features of Ukraine's case to investigate the impact of military service on ex-soldiers' attitudes in the Parliament. Drawing from the literature on military sociology, civil-military relations, psychology and legislative behaviour, the present research aims to compare the attitudes of parliamentarians with and without military experience. The question of interest is whether veterans bring about a distinctive military culture, which is considered violence-prone, authoritarian, action-oriented, collectivistic, self-efficacious and distrustful towards political elites, or being a veteran member of the Parliament is not associated with peculiar attitudes if compared with that of " civilian " members.
