About
I am a research student at the Institute of Archaeology University College London. My Ph.D. research (funded by AHRC and by the British School at Athens) focus on economic and social interaction in regions facing the Southern Adriatic Sea during Late Bronze and Early Iron Ages. My broader research interests however range from Aegean archaeology to social theory (particularly Marxist Archaeology and Anthropology) and history of the archaeological thought. I was born in Italy and I started my archaeological career there. Before moving to prehistory I have been engaged with classical archaeology for a while and I am still interested in some aspects of the archaeology of Southern Italy during the classical period. I am currently based in London although for study reason I usually come back to Italy and Southern Mediterranean quite often. As part of my Ph.D. research, at the moment I am studying Aegean type materials at the site of Roca in Apulia. I am also the assistant director of a INSTAP funded project (directed by R. Guglielmino) on the same site.
