Manuel Arroyo-Kalin (PhD, Cambridge) is an archaeologist interested in Historical Ecology, South American pre-Columbian history, landscape and plant domestication, and anthropogenic soils. His methodological approach is to use earth-science techniques to interrogate the physical properties of landscapes from the vantage point of archaeological questions. His main research focus is the Amazon basin.
