About
I am looking into the technology of metal production in the Vinca culture (central Balkans) c. 5400 to 4600 BC. My main focus is on technological debris, such as slags or crucibles, but also all other materials included in the metallurgical chaîne opératoire (ores, installations, final and semi-final products). I use structural, chemical and isotopic analysis to address the development and transmission of metallurgy within the Vinca culture, and beyond.
