I am currently researching how gold’s complexity as a material influences goldworking practitioners' perceptions, praxis and technological choices through an analysis of gold flows, focussing on the production, reclassification and destruction of gold artefacts (primarily jewellery, artworks, antiquities and bullion). I am also examining 'sustainable gold' and ‘ethical gold’ as newly developing material categorizations.
