Thesis Title: Characterising Space Use and Electricity Consumption in Non-domestic Buildings

About

Current Research:
EPSRC project: ‘New Empirically Based Models of Energy Use in the Building Stock’

Thesis Research, completed February 2012:
Investigating how room use types affect electricity consumption in non-domestic (commercial) buildings, as a means of improving the estimation of energy consumption in multi-building models.
The method excludes electricity used for heating and cooling, thus providing data for estimating internal gains linked to activities in spaces within non-domestic buildings. The method is for application at the urban scale.
