Thesis Title: Constructing Urbanism: Relating the Construction of Architecture to the Process of Urbanization in the Middle Bronze Age southern Levant

Arlene Rosen
Elizabeth Graham

About

My research investigates an explanatory model for the process of urbanization during the Middle Bronze Age Levant. By analyzing patterns in the process of construction, I address issues regarding socio-economic organization and reconsider critical theoretical approaches to urbanism and urbanization during this period.

My general research interests lie in the Bronze and Iron Ages throughout the Levant and adjacent regions, geoarchaeological methodology and theoretical approaches towards social transformations.

I'm an area supervisor for the Megiddo Expedition and senior field supervisor for the Jezreel Valley Regional Project.
